Welcome to the official website of Dr. Seungjong Cho. Dr. Cho is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Texas Tech University and a Licensed Master Social Worker of Texas. As a gerontological social work researcher, he aims to find addressable solutions to depressive symptomatology among older adults. He contributes his expertise to the field as a member of the editorial boards for The Gerontologist and the Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences, two leading interdisciplinary journals. He is also a passionate educator in social work, teaching Innovative Solutions to Social Work Problems, Advanced Social Work Research, and Social Welfare Policy Analysis. Dr. Cho received the President's Emerging Engaged Scholarship Award (2026) and Excellence in Engagement and Outreach Award (2024) at Texas Tech University.
